Sky Watch in New Brunswick
Sky Watch Friday is a photo meme with photos of sunrises, sunsets, blue skies, gray skies, pink skies, dark skies and any other kind of sky posted by bloggers all over the planet.
I took this photo standing in Highland Park looking across the river at New Brunswick last month in early December. I believe that steeple is in Cook/Douglass Campus of Rutgers (Voorhees Chapel?).
These last two photos were taken this morning. Much bluer sky, right? The above shows the contrasts of old and new architecture in New Brunswick.
This is Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, one block from the College Avenue campus of Rutgers University. I was visiting my favorite computer fix-it folks: Cyber Knight Computers.

Contrast been old and new is one of my favourite topics when I take pictures in cities! I so loved London for that reason!
You have wonderful blue skies again Leora! Belgium is very grey and foggy again this week.

I love the way some places interleave the old and the new like that. Downtown Raleigh has kept many of its old buildings while still building sleek modern ones that tower over them. I hope we'll always manage to hold on to those that have so much history. I like an impressive glass-and-steel skyscraper as much as anyone, but I'm a real sucker for the old stone and mortar if-this-building-could-talk type.

Glad you took your camera with you to your favourite computer fixer folks! And I'm glad the computer's fixed. (At least I'm assuming it is.) ;-)
Yes the sky in the second and third photo are an improvement over the first. OK, I admit that I like blue skies better than grey.

EG Wow!, it was my external hard drive, and yes, they did a wonderful job of restoring my photos after I tried some backup software and succeeded in the software trying to reformat my external hard drive. But that would be a whole post unto itself, the back up discussion. In the end, Mike of Cyber Knights convinced to drag and drop files as I work and forget about backup software.

What a difference in the color! After being in Europe this summer and witnessing all the old architecture it was a bit of a culture shock to return home to all the modern.Great capture for SWF!

It msy seem odd, but I prefer the more muted tones of the sky and chapel in the first one.
leoraw says
Arija, I do, too. I felt like I took those second two in a bit of a rush this morning.
