Whirlpool Bridge on Niagara River
This is the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge on the Niagara River – I am revisiting photos I took from our trip last summer to Niagara Falls. The Whirlpool Bridge is about a mile from the falls.
The Whirlpool Bridge crosses the international border between the United States and Canada. You can learn more here about the Whirlpool Bridge and the earlier suspension bridge it replaced (the world’s first working railway suspension bridge).
Here’s a jet boat one can take on the Niagara River. We just stood high on the cliff above and took photos.

I think I saw this bridge when we were at Niagara Falls. The water is tremendously rough and being there scares me to death, lol! Happy Sunday!

This one is a wee bit too high for my liking. It is one mammoth structure and so impressive to view. YOur capture is excellent. genie

Beautiful shots!

Very impressive. I would not like to be in that jet boat; I'd be terrified.

The ride itself looks OK to me - one supposedly does get quite wet. What I don't enjoy is the size of the credit card bill after all these Niagara events...

I can easily imagine that the Niagara Falls are not exactly the cheapest place for a family visit.

Surprisingly, the U.S. side was more affordable. You can take the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds for a reasonable sum. But the nice hotels are on the Canadian side (as is the kosher food), and people had recommended the Canadian side to us.

I like the photos you took from high on the cliff.

I drove from Canada to USA at th niagara falls in 1976. May be this is the same bridge.

It was probably the rainbow bridge, which is right next to Niagara Falls:
