Review with Rudbeckia and Verbena
On My Blog
It’s been a while since I did a review, so perhaps this should be a month in review (or two months?). Jewish holidays can do that to you – you can’t remember what it was you were planning in mid August, and all of a sudden it’s October. I was very busy putting up the films for the Rutgers New Jersey Jewish Film Festival in September – if you live in New Jersey, I hope you will see one of the films!
More on my blog:
- Millet with Carrots and Zucchini (and lemon)
- Tall Towers Tale (a story about the Chafetz Chaim and his university-educated granddaughter, with a painting by Brueghel)
- El Nora Alila, a Yom Kippur tune
Elsewhere in the Blogosphere
- Jew Wishes blogged about the miners being rescued – did this miraculous event effect your week as well?
- Ilana-Davita wants to know what you are reading. (as do I – feel free to leave your favorite book as a comment, if you like)
- Shimshonit interviewed … me.
- A Simple Jew explains why he is a weekday vegetarian.
- If any of you want to learn how to get your images to be in just the right spot on a blog post, you should read Float That Image on my tech biz blog.
Jew Wishes says
You have been busy, busy this week.
I enjoyed your Tall Towers Tale.
Thank you for the mention!

"busy, busy" - so what else is new? I feel like the chicken with my head off sometimes. I should stop by my garden today and fiddle with some soil - somehow, that helps me regain my sanity.

What a lovely looking patchwork of your post!. Thanks for including me in your review. I hope to be less busy next week (workwise) and be able to blog more and resume the reviews too. I don't seem to have quite recovered from the High Holidays and am still running after time.

If you catch some (time), can you put some in a bottle and ship it over here? I seem to be wiling it away this morning instead of focusing...
Ilana-Davita says
I will but if I were you I wouldn't count on it too much. :-)
Shabbat Shalom!
Mrs. S. says
That sounds like a great idea for a VERY profitable venture - especially if the product line would also include bottled sleep... :-)
Shavua tov!

Thanks to your blog, I know the word Rudbeckia. I'd never know it otherwise. Great word!

Abbi, I have rudbeckia all over my front lawn (or I did until drought struck - now I just have a few) and scattered throughout my blog. Glad you learned about this American native plant!
Please leave a comment! I love to hear from you.
