Railroad Tracks – SOOC

railroad tracks
I took several shots of these Teaneck railroad tracks while waiting for my middle son, who had spent the morning visiting the high school he will attend next year. My older son just told me trains really do travel on those tracks. Oh.

I really like trains and train tracks! Yep, these rails look shiny so they are definitely used. :)

I have ideas in my head of how to manipulate these photos. Not sure if I really will, but it's fun to think about.

Ah, didn't know shiny meant used. My son didn't care to learn I had stood on the tracks to take the photos. Probably not one of my brighter moments.

Love this shot of the RR tracks, and the infinite horizon.

Wonderful use of leading lines to focus the eye and create drama.

Great angle and I like the shiny effect too. Glad to see you didn't get run over by one of the trains.

Um, me, too. About not getting run over.

Leora, great shot, albeit a dangerous shot! HA! :)

This was not one of my more brilliant moments, Mary. Maybe some of us photo bloggers take getting the good shot a little too seriously. ;-)

Great picture of the train tracks, it's good that you can make that into like a post card

Aha! So you photographers are all the same, risking life and limb to get 'the' picture! My BH does the same kind of thing too....

I love the image, but every time I see train tracks in photos, my memory flips back to Auschwitz. I took some (many) photos* there - the perspective gets me every time.

(*Irony of ironies - my BH was suffering from frozen shoulder, so I took on the mantle of photographer!)

"my memory flips back to Auschwitz" - as horrible as this may sound, that's image in my mind, too.
