Today’s Flower: Purple Verbena

purple verbena
I have always admired the low-lying flower verbena, and this year I have it in my front yard, nestled among white alyssum, orange marigold, pink begonia and yellow rudbeckia.

The color is lovely. By low-lying do you mean that the flowers are close to the ground?

I remember seeing your verbena last year and wanted to get some. So this spring I did.

I like your hearty earth avatar. Highly personal and creative.

Your verbena is so beautiful. I used to have a ton of it in my back garden but it was a casualty of our 2007/2008 drought.
