Today’s Flowers: Daffodils

daffodils_bab2
I call these “baby” daffodils because they are only a few inches tall. These little daffodils bloomed this past week in front of my house. My large daffodils in the back look like they might bloom any day now. I have seen some daffodils in bloom elsewhere in Highland Park.

Because I like yellow and purple together, here are some little crocuses that are situated in the far corner of my backyard.

Unlike so many of you others we still are forced to rely on the bought variety but it's nice to see that the spring are in full force for so many of you others out there. I like the dwarf daffodils too and perhaps I shall go and buy some tomorrow.

I was thrilled to find some buds in my yard so spring will come after the snow we are going to get on Monday

The purple crocuses are lovely in this neat little cluster. My mini daffodils haven't even poked their leaves through the soil yet! So, yes, I am a bit envious. (That happens to me every spring around the beginning of April!)

I looked up Hoop Petticoat daffodils. Looks sort of like this, but not exactly. I found this Latin name: Narcissus bulbocodium

Leora: You look so much more like Spring then we do today. All the flowers have a layer of snow.

We had cold rain. All clear today. I hope your flowers last through the snow.
