Can you identify what is in this photo?

Hint from Parshat Korach (Numbers 18:30) —

Therefore thou shalt say unto them: When ye set apart the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the wine-press.

Ilana-Davita (5.) was the closest thus far. I’ll post the answer with more photos and explanation next week.

I know I'm wrong about the thimble because I can see on the first of whatever it is that it must be something that rotates in something b/c it looks like a ring around it above the dimples...or how it appears to me. Fun mystery!

And you are the grand-prize winner, Ilana-Davita! One of these humungous stacked tanks was for storage, the other for fermentation. I hope to post more on the Galil winery we visited next week.

Galil. It is non-mevushal wine that was delicious. You can't buy it in New Jersey; closest places to buy are Philadelphia and Manhattan. We bought the Pinot Noir and gave it to our friends in Hashmonaim, on the condition that they serve it on Friday night. By the end of Shabbat, it was gone.
